In general the Mediterranean climate of Formentera is simply ideal.
Here winter is rather mild although often a wind blows on the island that can be annoying in colder days. The breeze turns out to be rather pleasant in summer, when the sun shines warmer and the climate is sultry.
Sea temperatures are pleasant from Spring up to Autumn, with the obvious seasonal differences.
WHEN TO GO:
- If the priority of your holiday in Formentera are a cool tan and the blazing sun, obviously you should choose the central months of summer, July and August.
- If you don't mind the waters a little cooler and some possible splash of rain (a few), we recommend low season months before and after summer: May-June and September-October.
In this time the island is a spectacle of colors, perfumes and tranquillity.
