With its more than 20 km of beaches, Formentera is a paradise full of surprises for all lovers of the crystal clear water and typical Mediterranean bays.
ILLETAS AND LEVANTE
They are the most popular and crowded beaches of the island and they are part of Ses Illetes Marine Park. Located in the northern part of the island in the spit of land that goes all the way from Las Salinas to the islet of Espalmador.
For the colours of the sea and sand they are often compared to the Caribbean beaches and even in windy days the sea is always calm and flat. ILLETAS is the most fashionable beach and offers many bars, restaurants and services, while the LEVANTE is wilder, more quiet and frequented by nudists
PLATJA DES PUJOLS
Is the beach of Es Pujols village. Although surrounded by hotels and apartments, its waters are crystal clear. Wide range of restaurants, bars and services.
MITJORN
It's located in the South of the island, facing Africa, and it alternate sandy stretches with rocky areas. It is the longest Beach in Formentera (more than 6 km). Thanks to its extension, and then to the low concentration of tourists, Mitjorn remains one of the less hit beaches on the island and maintains its wild nature, especially in the area toward the far South of Formentera. It's still a paradise for naturists, divers or snorkelers.
ES CALO'
By Mitjorn we recommend a small detour (only 2 km) to the beautiful beach of ES CALO, a small rocky Cove known for shades of blue and light reflections given by minerals in its rocks formations.
SES PLATGETES
These little coves are located near Es Caló, opposite to Mitjorn in closer on the island. Lovely, quiet, with pines and junipers growing almost on the beach.
CALA SAONA
A natural bay on the Southwest of the island, facing Ibiza. The contrast between the blue of the sea and its red rocks makes this beach unique. Many sailing boats come here to throw the anchor.
